READER'S RAMBLE: SOUTH DOWNS WAY

The South Downs Way holds an almost legendary status for any die-hard, all-day, cross-country rider. And rightly so – it is, in the most literal sense, a ride across the country that jaunts through Hampshire, West Sussex and East Sussex. Stretching a grand total of 100miles from Winchester in the west to Eastbourne in the east, it is an all-day epic MTB ride.

THE CASSETTE: DAN'S SEGGY MIX

We called upon in-house MTB film connaisseur Dan Clark to list his five favorite songs from riding films. We can almost guarantee that if you recognize these songs from their film, you will want to go out for a ride!

GLOBAL CYCLING NETWORK VERSUS JOSH IBBETT: ATLAS MOUNTAINS, MOROCCO

It seems every day we are hearing of Josh Ibbett taking off to somewhere remote to ride his bike. But this time around it was with a bit of a twist. Our friends over at Global Cycling Network invited Josh to teach them the ropes of bikepacking in quite possibly a place on every Bikepacker's bucket list - the Atlas Mountains.

#REDEFINEWIDE AERO TESTING: 50CAD BENCHMARK RESULTS

After much testing and analysis, here is the first release of data following our recent trip to the GST (Gesellschaft für Strömungsmeßtechnik mbH) as used by Canyon, in Southern Germany. Read on to find out how the Hunt 50 Carbon Aero Disc wheels with a 25c Schwalbe Pro One tyre produced the lowest drag on test!

In partnership with the expertise of engineers from Schwalbe, and the experience of our in-house aero-genius Luisa Grappone, we are in the process of designing a wheelset that maximises aerodynamic performance specifically optimised for 28c tyres… The ultimate modern aero road wheelset.

READER'S RAMBLE: HARD-MAN-DAN'S HILL CLIMB LOOP

For this week's Reader's Ramble, we could think of no better route designer than the local hardman famous for riding through just about anything... really fast...

READER'S RIDE: LEE'S SCOTT FOIL DISC

What better way to introduce our latest member of the Hunt staff team than not by introducing them personally, but by showing you their bike. Lee has joined us with a background in aerodynamics and working on concept project with the likes of Mercedes F1 racing.
Harry Tanfield in the winners jersey

TOUR DE YORKSHIRE CLASS: HARRY TANFIELD

The Tour de Yorkshire is done and dusted, but one rider making their mark in the sand is Canyon Eisberg rider Harry Tanfield. Claiming victory in the opening stage of the tour, Harry sent Hunt HQ energy levels into the stratosphere! Tanfield spent the day in the break, pushing the limits of the chasing peloton. Coming into the final moments of the 182km stage finishing in Doncaster, Tanfield’s rivals launched an early sprint to the line, but in a stunning display of class, it was Tanfield who came storming pass – all while sprinting seated!

The Sea Otter playlist

THE CASSETTE #15: The Sea Otter

Asides from all our exhibition bikes, wheels and pop-up tents (so basically everything) not clearing US Customs until 5pm the day before the exhibition started, it was smooth sailing so we thought it'd be good to put together an equally smooth playlist... all with songs about California.

Gosse and the racers

GOSSE WINS AGAIN AT CANYON RADCROSS IN KOBLENZ (GALLERY)

Hunt-sponsored CX superstar, Gosse van der Meer, has won again on his tremendous return to form following his awful knee injury sustained during the UCI World Cup CX round at Namur late last year. Formerly racing within the traditional team structure of Tarteletto-Isorex, Gosse now rides for and by himself, in a joint effort of support between Bombtrack Bicycle Co and ourselves.

Whilst we don't have a race report available (although we'll be featuring Gosse in our On The Drops real soon), we do have some amazing photography from Canyon's RADCROSS event in Koblenz on Saturday.

ON THE DROPS WITH MAX STEDMAN (CANYON EISBERG)

This week's On The Drops comes from everyone's favourite smiley climber, Maximilian Stedman. Max has had a strong start to the 2018 season, already bagging a 6th place in a (very) hard Chorley GP. Following victory in the UCI 2.2 Tour of Quanzhou Bay in December 2017, Max is clearly carrying good long-term form, so is one to watch ongoing. Speaking from personal experience, however, he's not a good rider to draft behind.
