A tuned carbon rim, 30mm internal width, dependable RapidEngage hubs, and high-quality Pillar spokes combine to create a wheelset that feels quick under power while remaining stable and predictable across a wide range of terrain.

HUNT recommends a 2.25" tire for best performance, tire widths between 1.9" and 2.8" are also safe to use.   Note: best performance is usually gained by using tire pressures lower than the maximum, you can see our blog post about this, read here.  Tubeless-ready for lower weight and rolling resistance.  Only use tires marked as compatible with hookless (TSS) rims.  You must not exceed the maximum tire pressure limits set out in the table below or the maximum limit set by your tire manufacturer if this is lower.

30mm internal width to provide the tire support, stability, and durability expected from a performance-focused XC wheelset.

A hookless profile and reinforced carbon layup help create a rim that remains
composed when trails become rough while retaining the quick acceleration riders
expect from a lightweight carbon wheel.

RapidEngage Hub System

At the centre of the wheelset is our proven RapidEngage hub platform.

Featuring 5° engagement, the system balances responsive power transfer with
dependable long-term reliability. Large cartridge bearings and additional sealing help protect against contamination and reduce maintenance requirements, while fully serviceable internals ensure straightforward ownership for years to come.

Stated wheel weights: Our stated wheel weights reflect the wheelset only; without rim tape, tubeless valves or disc brake lock rings, as is industry standard. A 3% variance (lower or higher) in total system weight is normal for wheelset manufacturing.

All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh rolling-drum fatigue tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. Max system weight 297 lb (system weight – total weight of fully kitted up rider, bike and luggage). If the system is over 275 lb then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly and it is advisable to use tires at max 40psi as this will reduce the fatigue on the wheelset.
