Racing Fever in the Heart of Düsseldorf: Rund um die Kö.

Before we dive in, we want to take a moment to say thank you. NonStopFeelings have been more than just a team for us – they’ve been a spark in the local scene, a crew that brought energy, personality, and a whole lot of heart to every race they touched. As our partnership comes to an end, we’re grateful for everything we’ve built together.

But endings also make space for beginnings. And there is something new on the horizon – a fresh project we can’t wait to share more about soon. Until then, let’s celebrate one of the standout moments of the season with NonStopFeelings: a day in Düsseldorf where the city turned into a racetrack and the racing fever was real.

There’s something about racing on city streets that just hits different. The buzz, the crowd pressed up against the barriers, the smell of espresso mixed with embrocation and street food. Düsseldorf had all of that dialed in last weekend for Rund um die Kö 2025 – and honestly, it was one of those days where you’re just stoked to be part of the cycling scene.

For anyone new to it: Rund um die Kö isn’t just a race – it’s the race on Düsseldorf’s Königsallee, the city’s most iconic boulevard. Elite crits, fixed-gear chaos, the Petit Départ for kids, folding bikes, cargo bikes, a women’s hobby race – it’s the full spectrum. More block party than classic race, with the racing as the soundtrack.

The organizers framed this year’s vibe as “Race, Love & Harmony,” and it delivered. Perfect weather, nearly 500 riders across every age group, and a volunteer crew that ran themselves into the ground to keep things moving. As Carsten Wien from Schicke Mütze put it:

“Die Vorgeschichte … hat uns im Orga-Team zwar manchmal an den Rand des Nervenzusammenbruchs geführt, aber wir haben uns alle in der deutlich gewachsenen Crew massiv die Rücken gestärkt …”

Translation: events like this feel chaotic until suddenly they don’t – and then everything clicks, and it’s pure magic.

And it was magic. Standing on the Kö, watching junior racers and fixed-gear riders shred the same tarmac where the elites would later blast by at 50 km/h… you felt part of something bigger. Parents yelling for their kids, locals stumbling onto the boulevard and staying for hours, DJs spinning tunes – the whole stretch turned into a living, breathing cycling arena.

A huge shout-out goes to the NONSTOP FEELINGS Racing crew – the team came ready to race and put real presence into the bunch. For anyone who doesn’t know them: they’re not just about results. They’re about showing what ambitious amateur racing can look like when it’s done with style, energy, and community at the core. Rund um die Kö was exactly their terrain.

Sure, it wasn’t perfect. The Kö is the Kö – a few potholes kept riders honest, and the much-hyped event jersey didn’t land in time. But when you’re leaning over the barriers with a cowbell in your hand, watching a sprint unfold, those details fade fast.

What remains is the spirit of the community that makes this event what it is. Volunteers on every corner, families running food stands, shops like Schicke Mütze stepping in – it’s everyone pulling together to give cycling a proper stage in the heart of the city.

If you were there, you felt it. If you weren’t – make sure next year is blocked in your calendar. Rund um die Kö isn’t just a race. It’s a love letter to cycling, written in sweat, chain oil, noise, and pure heart.
