The reasons for this is that it allows for a far more 'blunted' spoke bed area, which (depending on which part of the wheel you're looking at) is both the leading and trailing edge.</i>

Naturally, as with all of our rims, they feature a hooked tyre retention design for safety, and are both fully ETRTO-compatible and tubeless-ready.</i>
<h1>Rim Bed</h1><i>H-Lock is our tubeless-ready rim bed profile with up-kicks to the shoulders of the tubeless steps which help to create a great rim-well seal for first installation and easy sealing of tubeless tyres. The H-Lock profile also locks the beads in place more securely once seated. This is especially important when running lower pressures off road.</i>
<h1>UD Carbon Spokes</h1><i>Incredibly strong (achieving over 450kgf per spoke) TaperLock UD carbon spokes offering 30% increase in stiffness against steel ones. Only 2.7g per spoke. Due to the TaperLock technology, these spokes can be trued easily using a spoke key from within the rim bed.</i>

The TaperLock UD Carbon Spokes are incredibly strong, achieving over 450 kgf (kilograms force per spoke) maximum tensile strength, compared to leading steel spokes which conventionally reach around 300 kgf.

For HUNT, aerodynamics and stiffness have to be considered as component parts of a more holistic understanding of performance componentry. That's why we always design with serviceability and usability in mind, because there's no point having a fast wheel you can't use with your favourite tyre, or that you can't easily maintain.

    All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh cobbled-rolling-road tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. 240lbs is the upper recommended rider weight limit for these wheels. Please include the weight of any luggage in your total rider weight when choosing the correct wheels. If a rider is over 200lbs then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly and it is advisable to use tires at max 90psi as this will reduce the fatigue on the wheelset. We are cyclists ourselves and do of course go above and beyond to offer excellent service if you ever do experience any issues. We carry full spares at very reasonable prices and offer complete support.
