HUNT Enduro V3 28h 29" Rim | Front

The front wheel needs to tell you what the rail is doing, hold a line when things get rough and then get out of your head.
This is the 28h, 29" front rim used on the standard Enduro V3 wheelset. Its 31.5mm internal width supports a modern Enduro tyre, while the shallower 19mm profile leaves useful compliance in the wheel. It is lighter than the reinforced 32h profile because the front and rear do different jobs.

The front rim has its own job
A front wheel shapes how confidently you place the bike. This rim is wider and shallower than the EV3 rear, giving the tyre support under cornering load without turning the front wheel into something unnecessarily heavy or harsh. It is the front rim we recommend for most Enduro builds.
When more reinforcement makes sense.
Freeride lines, DH tracks and repeated bike-park laps can ask the front wheel to take the same kind of punishment as the rear. For those builds, we lace the 32h reinforced EV3 rim to a front hub. That option adds four spokes and a deeper V-shaped profile for riders who place reinforcement ahead of keeping the standard front lighter and more compliant. See the HUNT Enduro V3 32h Reinforced Rim.
Tested hard before it reached the shelf.
This rim was developed as part of the Enduro V3 wheelset through three years of lab and ride testing. Tyler McCaul used the platform on freeride lines, it ran through the 2024 and 2025 EDR seasons, and HUNT riders raced it in DH around the world. The quotes below refer to complete wheelsets. That is the honest test of a loose rim: how it behaves once it has been built into a wheel and ridden hard.
What the testers found.
- “There were a couple of butt-puckering hits to each of the Enduro V3 wheels during testing, and they shook them off impressively.”
Robert Johnston / The Loam Wolf
- “I’ve been impressed by the Enduro V3’s resilience overall.”
Zack Henderson / BLISTER
- “The rims and spokes have stayed true and straight throughout the test period.”
Trevor Hansen / NSMB
Why the front profile works.
Wider and shallower. The 31.5mm internal width supports tyre shape through hard cornering, while the 19mm depth is intended to leave useful compliance in the front wheel.
Built for its position. The 28h drilling and 581g weight reflect the loads and ride feel we want at the front. This is a purpose-built front rim, not the rear profile with fewer holes.
Made to be ridden. The high-strength G609 alloy is work-hardened and shot-peened, with H-Lock bead-seat up-kicks and nipple washers. The engineering has a simple job: keep the front of the bike predictable so the rider can concentrate on the trail.

FAQs.
What is this rim for?
It is the 29" front-specific rim used on the standard Enduro V3 wheelset and the front rim we recommend for most Enduro builds. It is available with 28 spoke holes only.
Why does it use 28 spokes?
The front wheel carries different loads from the rear. The 28h drilling works with this rim’s wider, shallower profile to provide the front-end support, control and useful compliance the Enduro V3 was designed around.
Should I use the 32h reinforced rim up front instead?
Choose the 32h reinforced rim for a front-hub build when freeride, DH or repeated bike-park use puts reinforcement ahead of the standard front’s lower weight and compliance. For most Enduro riding, use this 28h front-specific rim. See the HUNT Enduro V3 32h Reinforced Rim.
