Rear wheels get the ugly hits.
This is the 32h EV3 rim used at the rear of the Enduro V3 wheelset, available in 29" and 27.5". Its 30mm internal width and deeper, 21mm V-shaped profile put the priority on strength and repeated hard use.

Built for the back of the bike.
The rear wheel carries more direct impacts, rider weight transfer and drivetrain load. The deeper V-shaped profile places material and structure where those loads accumulate, while 32 spokes spread the work around the wheel. It is the rim we use when durability matters more than chasing the lowest possible weight.
Sometimes it belongs up front.
Freeriders, DH riders and bike-park regulars can ask the front wheel to take the same punishment as the rear. For those riders, we build this 32h rim to a compatible front hub. Its deeper profile and four additional spokes trade some of the standard front rim’s lower weight and compliance for more margin under repeated impacts. For most Enduro builds, see the HUNT Enduro V3 29" 28h Front Rim.
Tested hard before it reached the shelf.
The 32h rim was developed as part of the Enduro V3 wheelset through three years of lab and ride testing. Tyler McCaul used the platform on freeride lines, it ran through the 2024 and 2025 EDR seasons, and HUNT riders raced it in DH around the world. The quotes below refer to complete wheelsets, as they should: a rim proves itself once somebody builds it and rides it hard.
What the testers found.
- “There were a couple of butt-puckering hits to each of the Enduro V3 wheels during testing, and they shook them off impressively.”
Robert Johnston / The Loam Wolf
- “I’ve been impressed by the Enduro V3’s resilience overall.”
Zack Henderson / BLISTER
- “The rims and spokes have stayed true and straight throughout the test period.”
Trevor Hansen / NSMB
Why the 32h profile holds up.
Deeper and V-shaped. The 30mm internal, 21mm-deep profile was refined through 146 hours of FEA. In HUNT’s modeled comparison, it reduced spoke stress by 40% and impact stress by 13% against the traditional rounded profile used in the development comparison.
Built around 32 spokes. The 32h drilling spreads load around the wheel and suits the rim’s main job at the rear. Laced to a compatible front hub, the same build gives freeride, DH and park riders the extra margin they are asking for.
Made for repeated use. The high-strength G609 alloy is work-hardened and shot-peened, with H-Lock bead-seat up-kicks and nipple washers. It is strong where the wheel takes the beating and built with ordinary wheelbuilding standards when it eventually needs attention.

FAQs.
What is this rim for?
It is the 32h rim used at the rear of the Enduro V3 wheelset, available in 29" and 27.5". It can also be built to a compatible 32h front hub for freeride, DH and repeated bike-park use.
Can I really use a rear-profile rim up front?
Yes. Match the rim diameter and 32h drilling to a compatible front hub, then use a three-cross, interlaced pattern and 105–120kgf spoke tension. This is the build HUNT uses for riders who want the front wheel set up to take the same kind of repeated punishment as the rear.
Do I need the 32h rim up front?
Most Enduro riders are better served by the 29" 28h front-specific rim. It is wider, shallower, lighter and designed around front-wheel support and useful compliance. Choose this 32h front build for freeride, DH or regular bike-park use, when repeated impacts matter more than keeping the front wheel lighter and more compliant. See the HUNT Enduro V3 27.5" 28h Front Rim.
