A mid-depth, lightweight go-to road wheelset for devoted all-around riders and racers, made even lighter by hand-lacing UD carbon spokes to HUNT Sprint SLC hubs for quick, 7.5 degree engagement, rapid acceleration and low rolling resistance.

Aerodynamicist Rim Profile

As learned from our Limitless Research project & consistent wind tunnel time across the past 2 years, we know that an optimum aerodynamic benefit for a drop-bar bike is yielded from widening rim profiles. The reasons for this is that it allows for a far more 'blunted' spoke bed area, which (depending on which part of the wheel you're looking at) is both the leading and trailing edge. The benefits of blunted spoke bed areas revolve primarily around the predictable airflow, with the wind ‘hugging’ the rim as it passes across it (as opposed to older style V-shaped rims, which would create turbulence in the form of stalls). The wider profile ensures the flow stays attached to the surface as long as possible before the point of separation, which is key as yaw angles increase..

UD Carbon Spokes

Incredibly strong (achieving over 450kgf per spoke) TaperLock UD carbon spokes offering 30% increase in stiffness against steel ones. Only 2.7g per spoke. Due to the TaperLock technology, these spokes can be trued easily using a spoke key from within the rim bed.

Taperlock Sprint SLC Hubs

Carbon spoke optimized TaperLock SPRINT hubs add strength and enhance power transfer meaning all your force pushes you forwards. Large 15mm diameter hub axles for sprinting and out-of-saddle climbing responsiveness. Circular dropout interface steps add extra stiffness.

Rim Bed

Designed around a 20mm internal rim width optimized for a 25c tire (but will of course work without compromise with both 23c and 28c tires). They feature a hooked tire retention design and are both fully ETRTO-compatible and tubeless-ready.

STIFFNESS-TO-WEIGHT

With significant increases in lateral stiffness, they have been engineered to provide a stiffness-to-weight ratio previously unseen on serviceable wheels. Coming in at just 1352g but with significant increases in lateral responsiveness, disc wheels have never been so fast.

Freehub Body

Featuring 3x treble-tooth pawls and a 48 tooth ratchet ring results in an impressively low 7.5-degree engagement angle, and excellent resistance to wear under heavy loads. The Sprint freehub has strong individual pawl springs which drive a consistent engagement. There is also a Steel Spline Insert re-enforcement to provide excellent durability against cassette sprocket damage.

Tire Width Optimisation
