The HUNT 40 Carbon Gravel Race wheelset was built to meet the needs of the gravel racer and rider. With the integration of a Classified Powershift rear hub shell, we’re able to pack even more industry-leading design to into this versatile and fast, best-selling gravel wheelset. Wide and lightweight 40mm-deep hookless rims offer durability, quick acceleration and aerodynamic efficiency, intended for use with modern width gravel race tires. With an integrated Powershift rear hub, your riding will benefit from the wide gearing range and functionality of a front derailleur and 2x drivetrain, while enjoying the simplicity and aero benefits of a 1x setup.

NOTE:The Classified Powershift internal system and electronics must be supplied by select Classified dealers. This wheelset does not contain the complete system. The rear wheel is delivered with the Classified hub shell, without the Powershift hub internals. Please contact our Rider Experience team with any questions.

HUNT recommends a 40mm tire for best performance, tire widths between 35mm and 64mm are also safe to use.  Note: best performance is usually gained by using tire pressures lower than the maximum, you can see our blog post about this, read here. Tubeless-ready for lower weight and rolling resistance. Only use tires marked as compatible with hookless (TSS) rims. You must not exceed the maximum tire pressure limits set out in the table below or the maximum limit set by your tire manufacturer if this is lower.

A full 3 years from purchase date warranty is offered to the original purchaser only on all Hunt bike wheels against material or workmanship defects, please click here to read full details.

All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh cobbled-rolling-road tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. Max system weight 286 lb (system weight – total weight of fully kitted up rider, bike and luggage). If the system is over 211 lb then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly. We are cyclists ourselves and do of course go above and beyond to offer excellent service if you ever do experience any issues. We carry full spares at very reasonable prices and offer complete support.
