With only 40 wheelsets available globally, each hand-built in Dresden, Germany, this is performance engineering in its rarest form.

Instant Acceleration

QVIST’s patent-pending Double Ratchet System uses three alternating ratchet rings for 120-point, 3° engagement—delivering near-instant acceleration. Made in Germany from 7075-T6 aluminium with hardened steel 60-tooth ratchet rings for lasting strength.

Patented Limitless Width Aero Technology

HUNT Limitless Width Aero manufacturing process allows for a wider external rim shape while minimising material mass. Increased aerodynamic performance across a wider range of yaw angles, resulting in fast, stable rim profiles.

Adventure Ready Durability

Built to go further, our in-house team engineered to new gravel protocols beyond ISO standards—24/28 spokes boost load capacity, and thick 4.5mm bead hooks cut pinch flats while optimising comfort at low pressures.

TECHNOLOGY _

HUNT’s in-house engineering team invested two years developing and wind-tunnel validating front and rear rim profiles for the 40 Limitless Gravel to build on the aero efficiency benefits achieved by the category-leading previous generation Limitless Gravel wheels, while significantly reducing system weight and optimising rim shapes around wider modern gravel tires. 

Hand-built with the QVIST Classic DUO hub system, this limited-edition wheel system is paired with race-proven, aero-optimized rims designed for riders who seek the pinnacle of performance and design. QVIST's DUO patent pending hub system. This system utilises the high durability of ratchet drive and doubles the speed of engagement by offsetting two 60 tooth ratchet rings that work together. Resulting in an industry leading 3°-degree engagement angle. A 24/28 spoke front/rear wheel build for instant acceleration and adventure-ready reliability.

HUNT recommends a 40-45mm tire for best performance, tire widths between 35mm and 60mm are also safe to use. You must not exceed the maximum tire pressure limits set out in the table below or the maximum limit set by your tire manufacturer if this is lower. Only use tires suitable for hookless (TSS) rims. If unsure, please contact the tire manufacturer. Leading brands, including Schwalbe, Continental and Vittoria, have many tires suitable for hookless TSS rims.  Note: best performance is usually gained by using tire pressures lower than the maximum, you can see our blog post here about this. Tubeless-ready for lower weight and rolling resistance.

QVIST’s Double Ratchet System features their patent-pending with 120 points of engagement (60 of which are engaged on alternate ratchets simultaneously for high durability) and their unique and rich stereo freehub sound. QVIST’s is the fastest engaging ratchet hubset that we know of. HUNT and QVIST have teamed up to offer a unique colourway for this collaboration in a stunning Dark Graphite. This colour is exclusive to the HUNT and QVIST partnership available with these wheels only.

HUNT-patented Limitless Width Aero Technology enables us to build a rim that possesses wide, blunt dimensions and class-leading aerodynamic characteristics, whilst maintaining a weight that won’t detract from the all-round performance of the wheelset.

Aerodynamically Optimized

Aerodynamically optimized to be the ultimate all-round gravel racing wheelset for 40 and 45mm+ tires. Aero width advantage without a weight penalty. The wide Limitless rims enhance 50mm+ tire aerodynamics too.

German Engineering/Machining

QVIST are based in the heart of Europe – near our facility in Dresden, Germany. They believe in local manufacturing and craftsmanship. That's why they try to manufacture as many parts as possible in-house, in Germany and in Europe.

Spokes

After testing multiple spoke types (including analysis against competitor spokes), we found that the aerofoil profile of Pillar's Wing spokes offers even further aerodynamic advantages over flat/bladed options.

Each wheelset has been hand-built at our facility in Dresden, Germany by our expert wheel builders. Delivered directly to riders worldwide and supported by our passionate Rider Experience team in the US, UK and Germany.

Qvist hubs are supplied with subject to the statutory warranty of 24 months, from the date purchased.

Stated wheel weights: Our stated wheel weights reflect the wheelset only; without rim tape, tubeless valves or disc brake lock rings, as is industry standard. A 3% variance (lower or higher) in total system weight is normal for wheelset manufacturing.

All HUNT wheels models have to pass our harsh cobbled-rolling-road tests for rider weight limits, please see here for more details. Max system weight 286 lb (system weight – total weight of fully kitted up rider, bike and luggage). If the system is over 211 lb then an experienced bike mechanic should check the wheel regularly.
