In Chapter 2 of Behind the Wheel, we spend time with Meg Barker to explore what goes into racing at the highest level, from the preparation and mindset behind the start line to the equipment she trusts when it matters most.
Professional racing is often defined by what happens in the final few seconds, but the result is built through everything that comes before it. The training, preparation, equipment choices and mental approach all have to come together before a rider even reaches the start line.
For the second chapter of Behind the Wheel, we joined British National Circuit Champion and HUNT athlete Meg Barker to look beyond the race itself and understand more about the process behind performance.
Racing on 5AM
At this level, confidence in equipment is fundamental. Meg races on HUNT 5AM TiUD (carbon spokes) wheels, our latest generation of Limitless race wheels developed around the demands of high-speed road racing. Designed to combine aerodynamic performance, low system weight and responsive handling, 5AM was created for the moments where every acceleration, corner and decision counts.
Her relationship with HUNT began in 2023, after she won her first British National Circuit Championship on a set of HUNT wheels she had bought herself. Since then, she has continued to race and train on HUNT, becoming an important part of the athlete feedback that helps inform our development process.
