Behind The Wheel: Our Worldwide Expansion.

Back in 2018, we started to see something exciting happening. More and more riders around the world were choosing HUNT wheels. We hadn’t launched dedicated international marketing campaigns aiming to speak to our worldwide customers. Word of mouth was doing its thing and the power of social media meant that riders were simply discovering HUNT, believing in what co-founders Tom and Pete had set out to create, and joining us for the ride.

It became clear that HUNT was growing beyond the UK and we have from day 1 prided ourselves in a stellar level of customer service. So our next challenge was naturally making sure we could give this growing international community the same level of support, service and rider-first experience wherever they were in the world.

"What made that growth really exciting was the opportunity to build HUNT into a truly global business. Being closer to riders in different markets meant we could understand the local trends, riding styles and feedback that shaped what people wanted from their wheels, then use those insights to keep improving what we do."
Tom Marchment, Co-Founder

By the summer of 2019, HUNT was growing quickly in the US and it was clear we needed people on the ground. Bringing our first US team member on board felt like a huge moment. For the first time, HUNT had a team and a home outside the UK.

A few months later, we welcomed a second team member and opened our base in Boulder, Colorado. It was an exciting step for HUNT, giving us the chance to get closer to US riders, understand the market first hand and build a team that could support the momentum already growing across North America.

"Setting up in Boulder put us right at the foot of the Rockies and in the middle of an incredible riding community. Having a local team on the ground meant we could talk to US riders in their timezone, ship wheels faster, and share rides together." Sam Johnson, US Operations

The years that followed saw riders around the world continue to welcome us, and in turn, we grew alongside them. As our European community expanded, we knew we needed a dedicated mainland hub to eliminate border friction, speed up delivery times, and provide seamless direct-to-consumer and B2B rider support across the continent.

After a series of trips to Germany, in the summer of 2024, our European headquarters, was officially established in Dresden. Positioned on the edge of Dresden’s Neustadt and just a stone’s throw from the Dresdner Heide trails, Dresden offered the perfect environment: a thriving local cycling culture, immediate access to world-class Saxon lightweight engineering, and a vibrant community of industry friends.

The home we chose for our EU headquarters tells its own unique story. The building was originally a locksmith workshop (Schlossereibetrieb) during the East German GDR era. When our Dresden team first took over the keys, the space was thick with decades of grease, oil, and industrial dirt. Rather than hiring contractors to build out a sterile, high-end corporate showroom, the local team rolled up their sleeves and put immense amount of love and care (and sweat) into re-purposing and transforming the space into our European HQ with their own hands.

The workshop still has plenty of "Ost-Romantik" - East German character. It’s practical, authentic and a long way from a polished corporate showroom. And that suits us.

We’d rather put our investment where riders actually feel it: better products, faster shipping, strong local support and continuous development. The workshop reflects the same approach we take to our wheels. Focus on what matters, keep improving, and make sure riders get as much value as possible from every euro they spend with HUNT.

"Dresden was the natural choice for our European base, not just because of the city's incredible cycling heritage and engineering expertise, but because of the people here. We built this HQ with our own hands out of an old East German workshop, keeping it raw, real, and focused entirely on serving riders across the EU without border headaches." Michael Nikolai, EU Operations

Today, our European team brings together decades of experience across logistics, marketing, rider support and the wider cycling industry. Working alongside local riders and mechanics, they handle everything from getting wheels out the door to helping riders with technical questions, all from one place.

From 2015 to 2026, HUNT has grown from a small UK wheel brand into an international business, with riders, teams and colleagues from different backgrounds all helping shape where we go next. That has meant continuing to develop our Limitless range, taking what we learn from testing, racing and rider feedback to keep moving performance forward. It has also meant looking beyond where we started. HUNT is now an international team made up of people from different countries, backgrounds and parts of the cycling world. That mix of experience has helped shape the way we work, the riders we speak to and the products we create.

As we look ahead, our ambition keeps growing. We are actively working towards seeing HUNT wheels raced at the very highest level of the sport, including our search for the right WorldTour team partnership, while continuing to support riders across every level of cycling.

We’re proud that tens of thousands of riders have shared their experiences on Trustpilot, helping us maintain a 5-star rating year after year. There is always more to learn and improve, but building a more international, inclusive HUNT while continuing to push wheel performance forward is what keeps us moving.
